Isn’t it funny how we place gender descriptions prior to job titles when describing women? We hear terms like “female director,” “female entrepreneur,” or “female engineer,” yet drop gender all together when describing our male counterparts most times.
And look, I get it. I say it too. I am so proud to be a female director, and a female entrepreneur, that I’ve found power in saying it. But I also find power in the thought that one day being a woman and a director won’t be such an anomaly. This is why I decided to create FemX.
Our team is now devoted to not only working with established women owned companies, but we are also devoted to working with women who have inspiring stories, and incredible brands that have yet to breakthrough in their respective markets.
